Artiste lyrique de renommée internationale, Fabrice Di Falco est reconnu non seulement pour son parcours sur les grandes scènes européennes, mais aussi pour son engagement constant en faveur de la transmission et de la révélation des talents. Fondateur du concours Voix des Outre-mer, il œuvre à mettre en lumière des voix singulières et à encourager celles et ceux qui souhaitent transformer leur passion en véritable projet artistique. 

 

La masterclass organisée à Maurice s’inscrit pleinement dans cet esprit. Ouverte à tous les types de voix – du chant classique à la variété, en passant par les univers contemporains –, elle s’adresse à des chanteurs désireux de progresser, quel que soit leur parcours. 

 

L’objectif n’est pas de formater, mais d’accompagner. À travers un travail personnalisé sur la technique, la respiration, l’interprétation et la présence scénique, Fabrice Di Falco propose des conseils concrets, bienveillants et exigeants, afin d’aider chaque participant à mieux comprendre sa voix et à développer son potentiel.

In this clown workshop, award-winning performer and teacher Sophie Joans creates a safe, playful space where failure isn’t something to avoid — it’s something to celebrate. Through games, physical exercises, and improvisation, you’ll discover how your mistakes, awkwardness, and vulnerability can become your greatest source of connection and laughter. Clown isn’t about being clever or performing a character. It’s about stripping away performance and allowing your authentic clown to emerge — the part of you that is curious, hopeful, ridiculous, and real. When you stop trying to get it right, something far more interesting happens. Sophie trained in clown at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and under leading clown teachers Jon Davison and Aldo Brincat. She is the founder of Clown Town, Cape Town’s unofficial clown school, and has created and performed two original clown shows, AÏo and ÜÜÜ. This workshop is open to performers, comedians, and complete beginners alike. You don’t need to be funny. You don’t need experience. She is a former member of the acclaimed Second Liners Improv Troupe and is currently a performer with The Improv Cart. She has performed at the Mama City Improv Festival and created her own improvised solo show, NETPHLIX, combining improv, storytelling, and comedy. Alongside her performance career, Sophie is an experienced teacher who has facilitated workshops for performers and beginners alike. Her approach focuses on building confidence, spontaneity, and creative freedom. Drawing on her extensive stage experience, Sophie helps participants develop the essential improv skills of listening, presence, and trusting their instincts.

Led by award-winning comedian, writer and playwright Sophie Joans, this workshop is a focused, guided process in creating a tight, original five-minute stand-up set. Sophie will take you inside the real creative process behind stand-up: how to mine your own life for material, how to recognise what makes an idea captivating, and how to shape raw thoughts into precise, effective punchlines.

 

Through structured writing exercises, prompts, and expert feedback, you’ll develop material that reflects your voice – not a generic version of stand-up, but something unmistakably yours. You’ll learn the essential tools professionals use: joke structure, editing, timing, rhythm, and how to hold an audience’s attention.

 

Just as importantly, Sophie will guide you through the psychological side of comedy: trusting your instincts, committing to your perspective, and building the confidence to stand behind your material.

 

Sophie is internationally recognised for her bold, original work and has helped many performers discover their voice and step onto the stage for the first time. Her teaching combines deep craft knowledge with a playful, supportive environment that pushes you to go further than you thought you could.
