TRANT-AN JAZ Mo’Zar

En 2026, Mo’zar célèbre 30 années d’engagement, de transmission et de passion musicale.
Trois décennies durant lesquelles l’association a permis à des centaines de jeunes de
découvrir, apprendre et vivre la musique comme un véritable langage universel.
Pour marquer cet anniversaire symbolique, Mo’zar investit la scène du Caudan Arts Centre
le 30 avril 2026, une date qui coïncide avec la célébration mondiale de l’International Jazz
Day, clin d’œil naturel à l’ADN jazz et aux influences métissées qui façonnent l’identité
musicale de Mo’zar.

Ce concert exceptionnel sera dirigé par Philippe Thomas, et réunira sur scène :
• 25 jeunes élèves de Mo’zar, incarnant la relève et l’avenir,
• 12 professeurs, piliers de la transmission artistique,
• ainsi que des artistes invités de renom tels que Linley Marthe, Manu Desroches,
Marie Luce Faron, Ankiroots, Bèleverdé et Eric Triton, aux côtés d’anciens élèves, les
alumni de Mo’zar qui sont aujourd’hui artistes confirmés.
Cette soirée anniversaire retracera 30 ans d’histoire musicale à travers des créations
originales, des réinterprétations et des moments de partage intergénérationnels. Jazz,
musiques du monde, sonorités locales et influences contemporaines se croiseront pour
offrir un spectacle vibrant et profondément humain.
Plus qu’un concert, il s’agira d’une célébration collective : celle de la transmission, de la
persévérance et du pouvoir transformateur de la musique. Un hommage à tous ceux qui,
depuis 30 ans, ont fait de Mo’zar bien plus qu’une école mais une véritable famille
artistique.
Mo’Zar dévoilera également sa nouvelle identité visuelle, symbolisant un nouveau chapitre
dans l’évolution de l’association et affirmant une identité tournée vers l’avenir tout en
restant fidèle à ses valeurs fondatrices.

In 2026, Mo’zar celebrates 30 years of commitment, artistic transmission and musical
passion. Over three decades, the association has enabled hundreds of young people to
discover, learn and experience music as a universal language accessible to all.
To mark this symbolic anniversary, Mo’zar will take the stage at the Caudan Arts Centre on
April 30, 2026, a date that coincides with the global celebration of International Jazz Day. A
natural tribute to the jazz roots and rich cross-cultural influences that shape Mo’zar’s
musical identity.

This exceptional concert will be directed by Philippe Thomas, and will bring together on
stage:
• 25 young Mo’zar students, representing the next generation and the future,
• 12 teachers, the pillars of artistic transmission,
• as well as renowned guest artists such as Linley Marthe, Manu Desroches, Marie
Luce Faron, Ankiroots, Bèleverdé, and Eric Triton, alongside Mo’zar alumni who have
since become established artists.
The evening will retrace 30 years of musical history through original compositions,
reinterpretations, and intergenerational moments of sharing. Jazz, world music, local sounds
and contemporary influences will intertwine to create a vibrant and deeply human
experience.

The concert will also mark the unveiling of Mo’zar’s new branding, symbolising a new
chapter in the association’s evolution and affirming an identity that looks to the future while
remaining faithful to its founding values.
More than a concert, this will be a collective celebration, of transmission, perseverance, and
the transformative power of music. A tribute to all those who, over the past 30 years, have
made Mo’zar far more than a school but a true artistic family.

Fondée à l’Île Maurice, Mo’zar est une association artistique et éducative qui œuvre
depuis plus de 30 ans pour rendre la musique accessible à tous. À travers une
pédagogie inclusive et exigeante, Mo’zar place la transmission, la créativité et
l’excellence au cœur de son engagement.
Née d’une volonté de démocratiser l’apprentissage musical, l’association s’est donné
pour mission d’offrir aux jeunes — notamment issus de milieux vulnérables — un
accès structuré à une formation artistique de qualité. Convaincue que la musique est
un puissant levier de transformation personnelle et sociale, Mo’zar accompagne ses
élèves dans un parcours qui développe à la fois discipline, confiance en soi, esprit
