The ensemble was created on the initiative of its members in 2016. The band consists of students from the country’s leading music university, the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, and laureates of international competitions: Timur Galinurov – accordion, Valentin Solgalov – balalaika, Svyatoslav Kaiser – domra, Igor Koksharov – balalaika-double bass.
The purpose of the ensemble is to popularize the performing arts on national instruments of Russia and Russian music in Russia and abroad, active concert activities, and the development of a concert repertoire for the ensemble of Russian folk instruments.
