FET KAYA is a celebration dedicated to KAYA — his music, his message and his legacy. Conceived as an OMAZ to KAYA, it brings together artists, musicians, images, archives and audiences around one shared breath: to make KAYA resonate today, pass his work on to new generations, and honour what he continues to represent for Mauritius, seggae and the Indian Ocean.

For this edition, RAS NININ is invited to celebrate KAYA through his most iconic songs, in a live, sincere reinterpretation carried by the energy of seggae. Presented at the Caudan Arts Centre, RAS NININ FET KAYA aims to create a moment of gathering, memory and vibration — a space where KAYA’s songs are not frozen in the past, but return to the stage as living words, performed, felt and shared again.
The 25 July concert opens a path that continues to 10 August, KAYA’s birthday (KAYA DAY, exhibition at the Caudan Arts Centre). FET KAYA is part of ZILANZIL 2026, KOMKIFO’s cultural-circulation programme between Réunion and Mauritius. Two islands, one shared memory, a seggae that crosses the ocean.
